Seasonal Campground Host
You can live at the campground for the season!
Part-Time | 20-25 hrs/week
Start Date: Early May to mid-September

Salmon Valley Campground is looking for a warm, dependable Campground Host to help create an exceptional guest experience throughout the summer season.
This role is about more than maintaining the property. It is about creating a welcoming environment where guests feel seen, supported, and genuinely cared for from the moment they arrive. You will be a steady, friendly presence who helps ensure our campground runs smoothly while fostering a peaceful and enjoyable atmosphere for families and travellers.
This position is well suited to a retiree, couple, or individual who loves camping, enjoys connecting with people, and wants to spend the summer in a welcoming outdoor community.

Living On-Site
For this position you will need to provide your own trailer or RV and remain on site during the 4 days you are scheduled to host. When you are not working, you can relax and enjoy your time feeling like a guest. You will be provided with a partially serviced site (15 amp power and water hookups and access to the sani-dump), use of the campground amenities and being a part of a supportive and welcoming community.

Compensation and Schedule

You will work 20-25 hours per week with a pay of $20-25 per hour (based on experience, skills)

Partially serviced campsite (15 amp power and water hook-ups), access to sani-dump

During and outside of those hours, you will be on-call for those 4 days a week for guest needs and keeping an eye on the campground. There is no monetary compensation for on call response as the campsite provided is in lieu of on call responses. We have set up the campground operations in a way that limit the amount of responding needed. We will monitor this and re-visit if excessive hours are spent doing on-call duties.

The role will begin early May start to assist with seasonal preparation and is completed when our season ends mid-September.

About the Role:
We are looking for a friendly and energetic Guest Services & Treat Shack Barista to be a welcoming face at Salmon Valley Campground this season!

This is the perfect summer role if you love interacting with people, making great coffee, and helping keep things flowing smoothly behind the scenes. You will primarily work in the campground office and our Coffee & Treat Shack, checking guests in, handling reservations, making lattes, serving ice cream, and helping guests feel at home from the moment they arrive.
​
This is a part-time seasonal position (16-20 hours/week) and you are available Friday, Saturday and Sunday's

What You will be doing
Guest Services:

Be the first smiling face guests see when they arrive, setting the tone for their stay
-
Handle check-ins, check-outs, and campground reservations (training provided)
-
Answer questions, give recommendations, and ensure guests feel welcome and supported

Handle basic conflict or guest concerns with professionalism and care

Coffee & Treat Shack Duties:

Prepare and serve specialty coffees, baked goodies, and ice cream with love and attention to detail

Ensure food and beverage areas are clean, stocked, and inviting at all times
-
Maintain Food Safe standards and high levels of cleanliness
-
Create a warm, fun environment where guests love to stop by

Admin Support:

Use our campground reservation system and POS system (training provided)

Assist with basic record-keeping and cash handling
-
Support social media by capturing fun moments and sharing positive vibes (bonus!)

You will need:

Reliable transportation to and from Salmon Valley Campground

Food Safe Certification (must have by start date)

preference to those with previous customer service experience (hospitality, retail, or similar preferred)

Comfort learning basic technology systems (POS, booking software)
