Campground & Treat Shack Attendant

Part-time Position 

Start and end dates vary June 1st ending September 1st

Salmon Valley Campground is looking for several outgoing, fun, organized, attention detailed individual to join our team.

This dynamic position involves working directly with our fabulous guests, making espresso beverages in our Coffee and Treat Shack, overseeing workshop, welcoming guests to the campground, campground cleanup and other duties as required. 

We are looking for someone with strong customer services skills and the passion to provide exceptional guest experience.   



  • Greet guest and check in campers, process payments, answer the phone and take reservations

  • Using our computerized reservation software, point of sale and payment process equipment and handling cash

  • Use of some fabulous barista skills: using an espresso machine, preparing and serving coffee and other beverages, serving ice cream and baked goodies.

  • Sales:  We have some awesome options for our guest and they may need some help deciding what they would like. 

  • Address guest questions and make every effort to resolve any issues

  • Help plan, set up, tear down and participate in workshops and events

  • Clean washhouse (yup, toilets included) and garbage disposal

  • Collect and sort beverage containers and recycling

  • Painting and other light maintenance duties

  • Clean campsites and firepits, remove and dispose of garbage

  • Multi-tasker and can handle a rush of customers with a smile

  • And an opportunity to pull from some of your strengths and share them with us and our guests

  • Event planning, coordination, preparation, promotion and delivery to guests and visitors

  • Cleaning and sanitizing coffee and treat bar and day use area

  • Answering telephone

You guessed it….customer service is key, and we are looking for staff who will WOW our guests with making them feel welcome and appreciated.  Some days, we have a lot of things happening and some days it is pretty chilled.  We are looking for folks who anticipate what needs to be done, pays attention to detail, resourceful and willing to try new things.  If you commit to working with us, we expect that you will follow through with that commitment and stay with us all season and show up to your shifts.  We are looking for staff who not only can work independently, but an awesome team player.  As we are located outside of city limits, we are looking for staff who have a reliable vehicle and/or ride. 





Pay starts at $17.40 an hour plus tips

Salmon Valley Campground is open 7 days a week and shifts may include mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.  There is some flexibility for scheduling in June as the Treat Shack is only open on weekends.  In July and August, the Treat Shack is open all week.  



We are a family owned campground heading into our third camping season.  Our campground is located 26 km North of Prince George along the beautiful Salmon River.  We have 33 campsites over 24 acres of property with several amenities on site including a wash house, beaches, coffee and treat shack.  We have drawn guests from all over the world but also have incredible support from local campers from the Prince George area.  We want our guests to have an incredible camping experience during their time with us.
